Questions for Wedding Professionals
To apply for membership, simply complete our online application form on the Membership Application page. Our board reviews applications on a regular basis. If approved, you will be notified and guided through the next steps of the membership process.
SWAE offers two membership categories: All-Star membership ($185/year) for established businesses that meet all requirements including 1+ years in business, business license/insurance, written contracts, professional website, Google Business Profile, and 5+ five-star reviews. Provisionary membership ($135/year) is for businesses actively working toward these requirements. Both include monthly networking meetings and volunteer opportunities, with All-Star members receiving additional benefits like website listings and Wedding Expo priority.
Our membership committee reviews each application to ensure businesses meet our quality standards. We look at factors such as professional experience, business reputation, online presence, and client reviews. The review process typically takes 2-4 weeks.
While we don't have strict limits, we maintain a balance across vendor categories to ensure a diverse and healthy marketplace. Certain popular categories may have a waitlist during times of high application volume.
SWAE promotes members through our online directory, social media features, referrals, networking events, and participation opportunities at wedding expos. Members are also featured in our marketing materials and may be highlighted in our blog and newsletters.
SWAE organizes a variety of events including two major wedding expos (spring and fall), monthly networking mixers, educational workshops, and our annual awards gala. Members receive discounted rates and priority access to these events.

All SWAE members go through an application and review process. We verify their business credentials, check references, and evaluate their reputation in the community. Only professionals who meet our quality standards are accepted as members.
Yes, our wedding expos require tickets. Early bird tickets are typically available 2-3 months before the event at a discounted rate. Tickets can be purchased on our Events page or at the door on the day of the event.
